Akasa Air names Belson Coutinho as airline's new Chief Operating Officer

In his new role, Belson will oversee Inflight Services, Airport Services, Maintenance & Engineering, Flight Operations, IOCC, and Operational Excellence. He will also lead the Akasa Air Learning Academy. With over 20 years of experience in aviation, Belson has introduced many innovative ideas in Indian aviation, backed by his strong operational, strategic, and leadership expertise.
Belson has been part of Akasa Air's leadership team since the airline started in 2022. Before becoming the Chief Operating Officer, he served as the Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, where he played a key role in shaping the airline's vision, launching customer-focused initiatives, and building a strong base for its rapid growth.
