Air India's Calicut-bound plane's tyre bursts while landing

All 369 passengers and crew on board Jeddah-Calicut AI 962 flight are safe, an Air India official said, after the plane landed at 8.30 AM.

KOZHIKODE: Passengers of an Air India plane from Jeddah had a narrow escape after one of the plane's rear tyres burst during landing at nearby Karipur International Airport today.

All the 369 passengers and the crew on board Jeddah-Calicut AI 962 flight are safe, an Air India official said, after the plane landed at 8.30 AM.

The incident occurred at the turning pad area of the runway, the official said.

The same plane is supposed to fly back to Jeddah in the evening.
