Air India’s Ahmedabad to London flight from Tuesday

The Air India flight will take off from Ahmedabad at 4.30 am to reach Mumbai at 5.45 am, depart from Mumbai at 7.05 am and reach London at 11.30 pm.

AHMEDABAD: The much-awaited direct Ahmedabad-London flight is set to take off from Tuesday and will be flagged off at the city's airport by tourism and civil aviation minister Saurabh Patel on Monday.

The Air India flight will take off from Ahmedabad at 4.30 am to reach Mumbai at 5.45 am, depart from Mumbai at 7.05 am and reach London at 11.30 pm (local time).

On the return sector, flight AI-130 will leave London at 1.30 pm (local time), arrive at Mumbai at 4 am the following day and land in Ahmedabad at 6.45 am.

For the route, Air India will deploy a Boeing B-787 Dreamliner which can accommodate up to 300 passengers.

The flight will be a boon to the 1.5 million-strong Indian diaspora and cater to the strong demand of over 6,00,000 Gujaratis living and working there.

Last month, Air India had announced that it will launch a daily direct flight between Ahmedabad and London following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of the same during his UK visit.
