Air-India to take 3 aircraft on dry lease

Air-India has signed a letter of intent with Montrose Global Capial Llc for dry lease of three aircraft.

MUMBAI: Air-India has signed a letter of intent with Montrose Global Capial Llc for dry lease of three aircraft as the state-run carrier plans to ramp up its operations for the busy summer season next year.

The LOI with montrose is for dry lease of three boeing 747-400 aircraft, a top airline official said.

The aircraft would join A-I fleet in february and march next year, he said.

Air-india has also decided to take one 767-300 er aircraft on wet lease from globespan airways uk.

This aircraft would be used on Mumbai-Delhi-Bangkok and Mumbai-Delhi-Kuala Lampur route, he said, adding the aircraft would start operations starting from november 22.

Further, the airline has decided to extend the term of two a 310-300 aircraft, which are on dry lease with it up to February and April next year.
