Air India to bring Bhuj on the map of its domestic network

KOLKATA: Air India will soon bring Bhuj on the map of its domestic network. The airline will link the Kutch city and Mumbai with a direct flight from May 15, 2014, with a CRJ aircraft.

The flight will be operated by Alliance Air, the wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, five days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The erstwhile Indian Airlines used to operate flights to Bhuj. The airlines played a stellar role in relief operations following the massive earthquake in Bhuj in 2001.
