Air India official accused of sexual assault in US

A senior Air India official at the John F Kennedy Airport here has been accused of sexual assault by a local woman employee of the airline.

NEW YORK: A senior Air India official at the John F Kennedy Airport here has been accused of sexual assault by a local woman employee of the airline.

A complaint in this regard was filed with the local authorities by a Carribean woman yesterday against Air India's airport manager Anil Sabharwal who left for New Delhi before the charge was made, sources told media.

The details of the incident are not clear. The Executive Director Air India for the Americas, Chitra Sarkar, was reached by media but she declined to comment.
