Air India launches flight on Bengaluru-Mysuru route

Air India today said it has put Mysuru on the air map with the introduction of six days a week flight from here to the palace city.

BENGALURU: Air India today said it has put Mysuru on the air map with the introduction of six days a week flight from here to the palace city.

The inaugural flight was flagged off by R V Deshpande, Karnatkaa Minister for Heavy Industries and Tourism and Sreenivas Prasad, Minister for Revenue, Air India said in a release.

The introduction of the flight was a great boon to the tourists as well corporates like Infosys and others in IT sector which have campuses in Mysuru, it said.

The flight left Bengaluru at 6.00 a.m. today with nine passengers and returned from Mysore with 16 passengers.

The ATR aircraft will operate six days a week barring Wednesdays.
