Air India inks code-share deal with Turkish Airlines

The deal will also allow both the airlines to market each other's flights by their own code.

National carrier Air India today signed a code-share deal with Turkish Airlines that will allow the latter's passengers connect to Air India flights on the Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata and Amritsar routes.

"This partnership with Air India is aligned with our plans to further expand and strengthen our presence in this region. We look forward to working with Air India and providing even more travel options for our customers," Turkish Airlines general manager for Northern & Eastern India Adnan Aykac said.

The deal will also allow both the airlines to market each other's flights by their own code and flight numbers on a free sale basis, Turkish Airline said.

Turkish Airlines at present operates 14 weekly flights to Istanbul from Delhi and Mumbai.
