NEW DELHI: Air India CMD V Thulasidass is likely to head the new entity created out of the merger of Air India and the Indian.
The Civil Aviation Ministry is understood to have cleared his name for appointment to the top post in the merged entity.
Official sources said that Ministry proposal would now go to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for its final approval.
Thulasidass would hold the post for one year till his superannuation, following which his successor would be chosen by the Public Enterprises Selection Board, the sources said.
