Air Deccan to withdraw flights from some sectors

Low-cost carrier Air Deccan today announced special fares starting from Re one as part of its third anniversary celebrations.

NEW DELHI Low-cost carrier Air Deccan today announced special fares starting from Re one as part of its third anniversary celebrations.
The fares would be applicable for travel on select days on select sectors, a statement from the airline said, adding that the tickets would be available from the second fortnight of this month.
The company is also planning to withdraw flights from some sectors such as Delhi-Kanpur, Lucknow-Kanpur and Mumbai- Nasik due to unfeasibility of operations, it said.
The withdrawal, however, would be temporary, the statement added.
"The closure of these sectors does not deter us from opening more virgin sectors and unconnected airports in the country in future. We will persistently innovate and offer the best connectivity and lowest fares to our customers," Air Deccan Chief Operating Officer Warwick Brady said.
