Air Deccan ties up with SBI for e-ticketing facility

Air Deccan on Tuesday announced its tie-up with State Bank of India for on-line ticket booking facility.

BANGALORE: Air Deccan on Tuesday announced its tie-up with State Bank of India for on-line ticket booking facility.

The facility would be available to all Internet registered users of SBI and over a million customers will benefit from the joint initiative, it was revealed at a joint press conference here.

SBI, the country's largest commercial bank, has 3500 Internet banking branches across the country.

The agreement was signed by SBI Acting Chairman and Managing Director T S Bhattacharya and Managing Director of Air Deccan G R Gopinath.

Gopinath said the e-ticketing facility would ensure the luxury of getting a ticket straight to the drawing rooms.

Bhattacharya said, "being the largest commercial bank in the country, our endeavour is to bring all value-added services to our customers' doorstep. After the huge success in the Indian Railway e-ticketing facility, this service is now being extended to air travellers."
