Air Deccan makes emergency landing in Nagpur

A Delhi-bound Air Deccan flight from Raipur to Delhi with 178 people on board, including former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, on Wednesday made a safe but emergency landing at the airport here following a technical fault in the engine.


NAGPUR: A Delhi-bound Air Deccan flight from Raipur to Delhi with 178 people on board, including former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, on Wednesday made a safe but emergency landing at the airport here following a technical fault in the engine.

The flight was on its way from Raipur when it was diverted to Nagpur where the aircraft landed at around 1907 hours, airport sources said.

There were 171 passengers and seven crew in the plane.
