Air Arabia to start Banglore-Sharjah daily flights

Barely a fortnight after launching four weekly flights between the two cities, leading Middle Eastern low-cost carrier Air Arabia on Thursday announced it would enhance the frequency of its Bangalore-Sharjah flight to a daily service from October 28.

NEW DELHI: Barely a fortnight after launching four weekly flights between the two cities, leading Middle Eastern low-cost carrier Air Arabia on Thursday announced it would enhance the frequency of its Bangalore-Sharjah flight to a daily service from October 28.

"India is an important destination for us and we are happy to be given an opportunity to link more centres across India to the Middle East," the airline's CEO Adel Ali said in a statement here.

Bangalore is the ninth destination of the Sharjah-based airline in India, the others being Ahmedabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Thiruvananthapuram and Coimbatore.

Air Arabia started its operations in March, 2005 from Mumbai and launched flights to other major cities within two and a half years of its operations.
