MUMBAI: Air India is likely to take a final decision on appointing consultant to prepare the roadmap for its merger with Indian after considering presentations from seven bidders later this month.
The Air India Board sub committee, which met here on Friday, reviewed the expression of interest recieved from various parties for appointment as consultant for preparing a roadmap for the merger of the two state-owned cariers.
The committee decided to invite the parties for a presentation on June 26-27 in order to shortlist the bidders, who would be finally asked to submit financial bids on which the final selection would be made, a company statement said here.
The seven partries which have responded to the EoI include, Accenture with Ambit Corporate Finance; BOB Capital Markets with Airline Capital Associates, Karnik & Associations and Anmol Sekhri & Associates; Ernst & Young with IDBI Bank, Lufthansa Consulting and Luthra & Luthra; ICICI Securities in association Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, NM Rothschild & Sons, Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation and MV Kini & Co; JM Morgan Stanley and AT Kearney with Amarchand Mangaldas; Pricewaterhouse Coopers; and SBI Capital Markets with Simat Hilliesen & Eichner, Trilegal and Lodha & Co.
Earlier, Air-India Chairman and Managing Director V Thulasidass had said that the consultant, to be selected from among seven bidders, is likely to be given three months to prepare the roadmap.
