Air India Express, the budget arm of national air-carrier Air India, is all set to start an air service between Pune and Dubai from June 18, a senior official said.
"Air India Express will launch a flight between Pune and Dubai from June 18," the official told PTI today.
The new air service would operate thrice a week, on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Pune airport was made open for flights only recently after remaining shut for three months for runway recarpeting work.
The budget carrier also has plans to launch flights connecting Dubai with Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Goa and also between Kuwait and Kerala.
In addition, it is also mulling a service between Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka and Kolkata early next year.
