AI board approves 50% PLI cut
The Air India board, on Wednesday, approved a 25-50% cut in its productivity-linked incentive (PLI) for over 7,000 employees.
���The cut, applicable to all officers, including top management personnel, in various management disciplines, will range from 25% for those getting PLI of Rs 10,000 or less per month and 50% for those receiving PLI or flying-related allowances of Rs 2 lakh or more per month,��� said the statement. It added that the cut for those receiving PLI of Rs 10,001 to Rs 25,000 will be 35%, while it will be 40% for those in the Rs 25,001-Rs 50,000 bracket. For those receiving Rs 50,001-Rs 2 lakh, the extent of the cut will be 45%.
The board meet to take a decision on PLI was scheduled for last Thursday, but was then deferred after stiff resistance by the airline���s unions.
