After Air India, Federation of Indian Airlines revokes ban on Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad

Vistara and Air Asia India, which are not FIA members yet, are also likely to revoke the ban on Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad.

NEW DELHI: After Air India, Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) has also revoked the flying ban on Shiv Sena Member of Parliament (MP) Ravindra Gaikwad today.

With FIA revoking the ban, Gaikwad will now be able to fly on IndiGo, Jet Airways and GoAir flights.

"Consequent to Air India restoring flying privileges to Mr. Gaikwad after being satisfied with the statement given by the Member of Parliament, the FIA member airlines are also restoring the flying privileges to Mr Gaikwad under the assurance that our assets and colleagues shall be accorded the respect that they deserve for the hard work that they put in every day," Ujjwal Dey, Associate Director at FIA said in a statement.


Vistara and Air Asia India, which are not FIA members yet, are also likely to revoke the ban on Gaikwad.

Air India had yesterday revoked ban on Gaikwad after he had apologised in a letter to aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju.

Gaikwad was banned by airlines after he had a fight with ground staff of Air India on March 23, 2017.
