Adani Mundra Airport on Tuesday launched first scheduled flight service through Star Air, linking Mundra to Mumbai and Goa. In addition, the airport opened up operations on eight other new routes, servicing Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded.

These new air routes will help to enhance connectivity for businesses, trade, logistics and tourism in the Kutch region. Adani Mundra Airport is adjacent to Mundra Port and the Mundra Special Economic Zone (SEZ), providing yet another transport option for commercial activities in the area.

According to the company, the launch of scheduled flight operations marks an important step in transforming Kutch into a fully integrated multi-modal logistics and business hub.

The Mundra Airport has a 1900 meter runway for both passenger and cargo aircrafts and has a terminal with check-in counters, passenger lounges, passenger parking and accessibility to passengers.

The launch is part of the Adani Group's growing aviation network, which consists of eight airports located in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Mangaluru and Guwahati.
