Wet mobile

Remember sending pants to the laundry with that expensive mobile phone in the back pocket.

By the time you remember where you kept the phone, it would have probably turned into a wet and hot tart (if you have the drier on as well). Could there be a way to save your precious little companion? A wetness alert perhaps. Or how about making the mobile phone water-proof?

Well, here’s a phone that you won’t have to worry about getting wet. Though putting it in fire is not recommended. Take a look at this smart thing in water — it’s a waterproof phone built for LG Telecom by Casio. If dropped in a pool, tub or a sink of water, it will survive the bath for about 30 minutes.

The clamshell phone has some other exciting features as well. That includes a compass with a built-in direction sensor, a stop-watch, an MP3 player and a 1.3-megapixel camera. It comes in green and orange colours. You can perhaps dive in a pool with it, but don’t stay longer than half-an-hour in water.
