Vodafone unveils new bonus cards for prepaid users in Kolkata

KOLKATA: Vodafone India, the domestic arm of the world's largest private mobile telco by customers and revenues, on Monday launched two new bonus cards, in denominations of Rs 14 and Rs 42, for its prepaid customers in Kolkata.

The Rs 14 bonus card provides 30 MB data usage on mobile and PC surfing and 25 minutes talk-time to any local network, with a one-day validity. The Rs 42 bonus card, in turn, offers higher data usage of 150 MB data on mobile and PC surfing and also provides 80 minutes local Vodafone-to-Vodafone talk-time, with a validity of seven days.

Vodafone India's COO (Kolkata & Bengal) Saurav Mukherjee said data penetration was a key thrust area. "With the internet playing a major role in our lives, we are introducing two new bonus cards with dual benefits of data usage and talktime," he said.

Both the bonus cards will be available at all leading Vodafone Stores and Mini Stores across the city.

Last week, Vodafone India had announced it would offer unlimited access to BlackBerry Messenger Services (BBM), which is one of the largest mobile social networks in the world at Rs 5 per day for prepaid users and Rs 129 per month for postpaid subscribers.
