PUSHKAR: Vodafone Essar India will soon come up with a new feature that aims at providing day to day rates of agricultural inputs to farmers across the country.
The cellular operator, who was the chief sponsor of the Pushkar Mela, has already started collecting data on rates of agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilisers, equipment and plans to inform farmers daily through SMS, Vodafone Essar Chief Operating Officer, Rajasthan, Jitendra Rahi said here yesterday.
Rahi said, the company is planning to add this new feature within three months.
This would not only benefit the farmers but also give them a choice to buy the inputs without being cheated, Rahi added.
