Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone operator by revenue, declined to provide further financial details.
Under the managed services agreement, Ericsson will be responsible for running the logistics, warehousing, repair and replacement of network equipment, including kit from rival equipment-makers. Vodafone Chief Executive Arun Sarin said in May last year that the company was targeting major cost savings by consolidating and better managing operating and capital costs.
Vodafone shares were up 1 per cent at 138.1 pence (USD 2.72; euro2.03) on the London Stock Exchange. (AP)
