Vodafone invested Rs 1050 crore in Maharashtra-Goa circle in last financial year

PUNE: Vodafone India has invested Rs 1050 cr in the past financial year to strengthen its network presence in the Maharashtra-Goa circle. The company has added over 3000 3G and 2G sites and 17 stores and 200 mini stores. Ashish Chandra, business head- Maharashtra and Goa, Vodafone India said, “We remain committed to continue investing in bringing the best in class, innovative, relevant products and services to win customer delight in the years to come.” Following these additions, the telco now has over 5000 3G sites in the circle. The company said that it has seen a 100% year-on-year uptake in the 3G adoption, while data contributes about 18% to its total service revenues at present.

Vodafone currently has 17.5 million subscribers in the circle, of which about 19 lakhs were added in the past year. It has also has launched 22 global design stores in Maharashtra and Goa, as part of an initiative to offer an unmatched retail experience to its customers.
