Videocon offers calls to US and Canada at 10 paise per minute

Videocon Telecommunications Limited, part of $4 billion Videocon Group, Monday offered calling rates of 10 paise per minute to US and Canada for new and existing subscribers.

The company is offering a 98% discount on rack rate of Rs 6.40 per minute, which effectively costs lower than a call made between two local subscribers.

New and existing customers can avail the reduced rates by purchasing a month-long pack that will offer 1,000 minutes of calls to US and Canada at Rs 135 and Rs 105, respectively.

The new rates will allow customers to talk more without fearing a bill shock.

Videocon Telecommunications director and CEO Arvind Bali said that such schemes in consumer interest will help us in associating more people with the brand.
