Uninor adds maximum rural subscribers in July

UK-headquartered Vodafone India saw an erosion of 0.29 million rural subscribers in July, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said in a statement.

NEW DELHI: Uninor, the Indian unit of Norway's Telenor, added maximum rural subscribers with 0.30 million in July, followed by Aircel, 0.25 million, and Sunil Mittal-headed Bharti Airtel with 0.09 million, the GSM lobby body said Tuesday.

With 0.37 million new additions in July, the GSM rural subscriber-base increased 0.12% over the previous month, taking the total count to 303.10 million subscribers during the month.
