KOLKATA: The Rs 1,242-crore Tulip Telecom plans to acquire an IT-managed services company in the US.

The company has set aside Rs 200 crore for the acquisition and has appointed merchant bankers to scout for a suitable firm in the US. Talking to ET, Tulip Telecom CMD H S Bedi said: ���We are looking at the inorganic route for growing in the coming years. As part of this, we���ve drawn up plans to acquire a managed services firm in the US. At this point, we cannot comment about the exact timeframe within which we will do this acquisition.���
