Tulip bags Rs 74-crore order from Tamil Nadu government
Enterprise data services provider Tulip Telecom today said it has bagged a deal worth over Rs 74 crore from the Tamil Nadu government.
Through this e-Governance initiative, Tulip will provide network infrastructure to connect 2,000 government offices in Tamil Nadu over a period of two years, Tulip said in a statement.
The company will also be responsible for extending uninterrupted data, voice, Internet, video conferencing and video streaming services to all the connecting offices, it added.
The total value of the project is over Rs 74 crore, the statement said.
"Such large projects are an indication of government's faith in our abilities and act as an enabler in realising our vision of becoming the largest data services provider globally," Tulip Telecom President (Government Business) Rajesh Duggal said.
ELCOT is a wholly-owned Tamil Nadu government undertaking. It was established with the main objective to promote, establish and run state public sector enterprises for electronic items.
