Tata Teleservices (TTSL) will have its presence in all telecom circles in the country by the end of the fiscal as it plans to launch its CDMA service in remaining three circles.


MUMBAI: Tata Teleservices (TTSL) will have its presence in all telecom circles in the country by the end of the fiscal as it plans to launch its CDMA service in remaining three circles.

"We are planning to launch operations in three circles, Jammu & Kashmir, North East and Assam, by March 31 next year. We intend to announce our expansion plans after receiving the mandatory approvals from the government," TTSL CEO Darryl Green told reporters here on Wednesday.

At present the company along with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd has presence in 20, telecom circles across the country with a customer base of over 10 million.

TTSL, Green said had filed an application with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and is awaiting the ministry's approval to commence operations in those circles.

The company on Wednesday launched a range of tariff plans and handsets, including an entry-level handset priced at Rs 999.

This launch is a part of its new initiative "Power of Choice", which offers a wide range of tariff plans and handsets.

The tariff plans are Go Easy, Go Life, Go Active and Go Max, while the new handsets are from Indicom Ace, LG 2535, Samsung Hero, Indicom Star, Pantech, LG 6335 and Samsung Wideo handsets.
