TTML ties-up with Novatium to launch NovaPC

TTML on Thursday said it has tied-up with Novatium to launch the latter's personal computer named NovaPC, along with TTML's high-speed internet DSL products in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.

MUMBAI: Telecommunication service provider, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra)(TTML), on Thursday said it has tied-up with Novatium to launch the latter's personal computer named NovaPC, along with TTML's high-speed internet DSL products in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.

NovaPC is a thin-client-based network computer that can be used for both computing applications and accessing the Internet, a press release issued stated.

"We are pleased to partner with TTML. Its width and quality of fibre connectivity in Mumbai and across Maharashtra will enrich the NovaPC user's experience in accessing the Internet and other computing applications," Novatium CEO Alok Singh said.

"This next-generation technology product, priced less than USD 100 or Rs 4,500 would especially be a boon for middle-class Indians and small and medium enterprises," TTML President, Corporate, Milesh Ruparel said.

The NovaPC provides at a very affordable price all the advantages of a personal computer with none of the hassles of hardware maintenance, software licensing, upgrades and viruses, he added.

NovalPC supports both Windows and Linux operating systems.

It also runs local applications using USB peripherals. TTML has over 5-million customers in Maharashtra and Goa. Its clients include corporates, SMEs and residential customers.
