TRAI seeks views on smooth communication during emergencies
Telecom regulator Trai is trying to ensure better communication during emergency situations and rescue operations
In a preconsultation paper floated on Tuesday, Trai has invited views from the industry and the experts, by November 30, so as to put in place minimum arrangements to ensure that network congestion does not occur for personnel involved in ‘response and recovery’.
“During the bomb blast in Mumbai on July 13, 2011, the problem of congestion in the cellular mobile network of Mumbai was reported,” Trai said in a statement.
