TRAI seeks views on smooth communication during emergencies

Telecom regulator Trai is trying to ensure better communication during emergency situations and rescue operations

NEW DELHI: Telecom regulator Trai is trying to ensure better communication during emergency situations and rescue operations, where failure in telecommunication occurs due to damage on telecom infrastructure and overload on the network.

“During the bomb blast in Mumbai on July 13, 2011, the problem of congestion in the cellular mobile network of Mumbai was reported,” Trai said in a statement.
