Vodafone Idea launches cloud gaming platform in partnership with CareGame

Vodafone Idea announced a cloud gaming platform in collaboration with Paris-based CareGame offering a selection of premium AAA games for subscribers.

The service is being offered in a "try-n-buy" model with a free trial period, after which users will have to pay a monthly subscription. The service is priced at Rs 100 for postpaid users and Rs 104 for prepaid users.

The company said the collaboration is part of its focus on driving customer engagement and is one more of multiple initiatives to deliver differentiated digital experiences for its users.


Popular mobile games available on the platform includes- Asphalt 9, Modern Combat 5, Shadow Fight, Storm Blades, Riptide, Beach Buggy Racing, Gravity Rider and classics like Cut The Rope, Subway Surfers and Jetpack Joyride.

Vi said more titles will be added in the coming weeks.

The service will be available for Android and iOS and can be accessed from both Vi Web and Vi App platforms.

Cloud gaming allows users to play graphics-intensive games even in entry-level devices without having to download the games.

"Cloud Play will enable all gamers in India to enjoy true AAA mobile gaming without having to invest in a new mobile phone or a gamepad, thanks to the combination of CareGame technology, iconic mobile titles from our publishing partners, and Vi networks," said Philippe Wang, Co-founder and CEO of CareGame.
