Telecom service provider Vodafone Idea (Vi) has deployed network connectivity to the newly inaugurated Mumbai metro stretch from Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey Colony for enhanced speeds.

The Mumbai Metro Line 3 which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday runs underground across nine out of its ten stations at a 12.44 kilometres stretch.

Vi users commuting on the line can browse, download, stream and chat with enhanced speeds.


“To ensure seamless network connectivity for its customers, Vi has deployed in-building solutions (IBS) inside the underground metro tunnel,” the company said.

“The inauguration of Aarey to BKC underground Metro corridor is a long-cherished dream for the people of Mumbai,” said Shailendra Singh, Operations Director, Vodafone Idea.

“As the city’s leading telecom operator, we are delighted to share that our network deployment across this metro route will offer an uninterrupted and seamless experience to our customers.”
