Mumbai: Tejas Networks has secured a purchase order to supply 4G Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions for a mobile operator in South Asia, the company said in a press release.

Under the order, the company's 4G multiband radio products will be deployed across multiple sites in the operator's network. The financial terms and the name of the operator were not disclosed.

The deal adds to Tejas's growing list of customers outside India and is part of the company's effort to sell its mobile network technology to operators around the world. Tejas makes the hardware that powers mobile networks and recently launched a flagship product called the TJ1400 UltraFlex baseband unit, which bundles wireless, broadband, transport, and IP capabilities in a single compact box.


"Our South Asian customer now has a trusted and proven technology partner capable of addressing diverse network requirements while benefiting from greater vendor diversity," said Dr. Kumar N. Sivarajan, Chief Technology Officer of Tejas Networks.
