Tata Indicom to spend Rs 100 cr in Punjab

Telecom services provider Tata Indicom on Thursday said it plans to spend Rs 100 crore in the current fiscal for expanding network base in Punjab.

CHANDIGARH: Telecom services provider Tata Indicom on Thursday said it plans to spend Rs 100 crore in the current fiscal for expanding network base in Punjab.

"We have already spend Rs 400 crore in the previous fiscal in the state and the amount to be spend in the current fiscal would be used to expand the network, strengthen coverage and open new stores in unrepresented areas," Tata Teleservices Ltd Circle Operating Officer (Punjab) Subhash Arya told reporters here today.

He said the company was present in 270 towns of Punjab and had a subscriber base of 7.5 lakh, which was planned to be doubled by the end of this fiscal.
