Tata Indicom launches STD calling tariff at 30 paise per minute

COIMBATORE: In order to tap huge STD call market in India, estimated at 1.5 bn minutes per month, cellular operator, Tata Indicom announced its new offer for its prepaid subscribers, in the region.

With highly competitive and attractive offer ' ULTA PLAN' with path breaking STD Calling tariff at the rate of 30 paise per minute, for both its existing and potential pre-paid subscribers, subscribers could make STD calls across India at 30 paise per minutes vis-a-vis all local calls at 50 paise per minute, Chandramohan, Chief Operating Officer, rest of Tamil Nadu, Tata Indicom, told reporters here.

Prepaid subscribers could avail the benefit of ULTA plan by recharging their number with First Recharge Vouchers available at an MRP of Rs 58 and Rs 104, wherein they could make STD calls at just 30 paise per minute for a period of three months from the very date of recharge, for first 600 minutes per month (post 600 minute STD rates would be 50 paise per minute), he said.

The vouchers come with incoming lifetime validity and provide talktime worth rs.32.58 and rs.74.29 respectively, Chandramohan said.
