Tanla to give mobile entertainment services to UK co
Tanla Solutions selected by UK's Pocket Group to deliver multi-media entertainment services to its customers.
"Tanla met requirements such as technical expertise, strength of carrier relationships and financial stability, and they are a company committed to supporting our goal in delivering compelling mobile propositions," Pocket Group Marketing Director Paul Swaddle said on Monday.
Tanla Mobile, a subsidiary of Tanla Solutions, was selected by the Pocket Group for providing entertainment- based services, Tanla Solutions said in a communique to Bombay Stock Exchange.
"Working closely with mobile operators, handset manufacturers and rights-owners means the Pocket Group is at the forefront of the mobile entertainment business and this relationship underpins Tanla's ability to power next generation mobile services," Tanla Mobile Head of Sales Gerry Drew said.
According to Informa Telecoms and Media, the mobile entertainment marketplace would grow from 23.1 billion dollars in 2007 to 38.1 billion dollars in 2011.
Pocket Group is a leading mobile entertainment firm in Europe and provides mobile technology, content and marketing services to over 50 operators across the world.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 444, up 1.59 per cent.
