Sunstone Capital to provide seed capital in mobile space

MUMBAI: Sunstone Business School, the specialised management school for IT/ITeS professionals, has just launched Sunstone Capital to invest seed capital in early-stage ideas in the mobility space. Sunstone Capital will assist in funding Sunstone Level-3 students and alumni to help them start up businesses.

“We see many students wanting to be entrepreneurs but hesitant to make the big jump. We offer them a chance to do a pilot of the business they want to start while working and offer to fund that. If it takes off, we will give them seed capital,” Rajul Garg, co-founder and director of Sunstone Business School told ET. They are looking at a dozen investments over the next year.

IIT-Delhi grad Garg had previously founded Global-Logic, which was sold for $420 million to Apax partners in 2013. Investment decisions on behalf of Sunstone Capital will be taken by Garg and Lokesh Gupta of the Spice Group.
