Sunil Batra of Tata Teleservices replaces CS Rao as Auspi president

Sunil Batra, vice president– corporate affairs at Tata Teleservices, was unanimously elected following its Annual General Meeting on October 29.

NEW DELHI: The Association of Unified Service Providers of India ( Auspi), a telecom industry lobby group, has elected Sunil Batra as its new president.

Sunil Batra, vice president– corporate affairs at Tata Teleservices, was unanimously elected following its Annual General Meeting on October 29, the body said in a statement Wednesday. Auspi represents pure-play CDMA operator Sistema Shyam TeleServices and dual-technology players Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices.

Batra takes over from CS Rao, president- corporate affairs, Reliance Communications.

In addition, Sumit Monga, general manager, Reliance Communications has been unanimously elected as vice president of Auspi.
