Sistema Shyam TeleServices expands retail network in Tamil nadu

CHENNAI: Sistema Shyam TeleServices, that provides telecom services under the MTS brand, plans to expand retail network to 100 outlets in Tamil Nadu.

The company today announced opening 13 new retail stores in the state. It intends to open five additional branded retail outlets, taking the total number of branded stores to 100 in Tamil Nadu, a company statement said.

"This launch is in sync with our strategy to provide one-stop shop offering voice and data solutions to our customers..", MTS India Chief Operating Officer Aravind Santhanam said.

MTS has over 16 million wireless subscribers. It employs 3500 people and has investments over USD 3.1 billion, the statement added.

Sistema Shyam TeleServices is a joint venture between Russia-based Sistema and Shyam Group of India.
