Samsung body ties up with Karnataka for AI, IoT skill development

The initiative is part of the company's CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), and will be part of the government's Skill India initiative.

Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has tied up with the Department of Collegiate and Technical Education (DCTE), Government of Karnataka to enhance technological skills in Internet of Things (IOT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for more than a thousand students and teachers in 37 polytechnic colleges across 30 districts of the state.

The initiative is part of the company's CSR program, Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC), and will be part of the government's Skill India initiative.

The program aims to foster innovation in IoT and AI and bridge the proficiency gaps aims in new-age technologies, thereby enhancing employability.


It will also include opportunities to collaborate with SSIR engineers.

The program will include all the adequate facilities, required kits, and equipment along with IoT and AI based training for students as per the SIC module.

"Through this partnership, our aim is to unleash the transformative power of digitalization, empowering students from remote areas with opportunities of the future and equip them with the right technology skills needed for success,” said Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan -Minister of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood of Karnataka.
