RS Sharma named new Trai Chairman

NEW DELHI: IT secretary RS Sharma has been appointed the new Trai chairman.

The appointments committee of the Cabinet approved Sharma's appointment for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is the earliest, a government notification said.

Sharma is an IAS officer is a 1978 Jharkhand batch and replaces Rahul Khullar, who had retired in May.
