Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio has introduced new recharge plans for its customers, offering more value at lower prices. One of the plans provides 2GB data and unlimited calling everyday at Rs 10 per day. This is a part of Jio's customer acquisition strategy.

The move comes months after competitors Airtel, and Vodafone Idea increased their prepaid and postpaid plan prices by 15 per cent, effective from July 3. The price hike has led to a number of customers search for alternatives, where BSNL emerged as a popular choice due to its lower prices.

Airtel and Vodafone had also introduced other plans after Jio increased its recharge plan rates.

The new Jio plan is priced at Rs 999 and is valid for 98 days. The users will get 2 GB data, unlimited calling, 100 free SMS per day and access to 5G internet under the new plan.

In addition to these benefits, subscribers will be provided with the access to Jio’s apps like JioTV, JioCloud, and JioCinema.
