RCom partners with HTC, launches new model

Reliance Communications on Thursday said it has entered into a partnership with Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC to develop and promote Next Generation CDMA devices.

NEW DELHI: Anil Ambani-led Reliance Communications on Thursday said it has entered into a partnership with Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC to develop and promote Next Generation CDMA devices for Indian consumers.

The Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer also launched its CDMA smart phone Touch Diamond P3051 in the country, exclusively available for RCom customers, RCom said in a statement.

The touch screen phone from HTC runs on Windows Mobile platform and responds perfectly to finger gestures when scrolling through contacts, browsing the web, and launching media, the statement added.

Priced at Rs 39,900 the phone would be available in more than 15,000 towns and four lakh villages in the country through RCom's distribution network as well as HTC authorised sales outlets, it added.
