Radia’s ex-partner accuses her of fixing deals with BJP leader

In a conversation with a reporter from the channel, which was aired on Thursday evening, Singh alleged that Kumar passed sensitive Cabinet documents to Radia for her clients when he was a minister in the NDA-led government.

NEW DELHI: Corporate lobbyist Niira Radia’s former partner and the man accused of kidnappping her son in 2003, Rao Dheeraj Singh, suddenly surfaced on an English news channel on Thursday, claiming that Radia and senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar fixed deals together.

The news channel also touted that it is in possession of documents, including Dheeraj’s credit cards, which showed Radia as his wife. In a conversation with a reporter from the channel, which was aired on Thursday evening, Singh alleged that Kumar passed sensitive Cabinet documents to Radia for her clients when he was a minister in the NDA-led government. He also claimed in the telephonic conversation that Radia had transferred huge sums of money to a bank account in Zurich.

According to Singh, he himself accompanied Radia to Zurich when she opened the bank account. He also claimed that the BJP government allotted land to a trust owned by Radia . “There’s substantial amount of money still lying in that account in Zurich. I will provide you with the name of the bank and account number when I come to Delhi,” says Singh.

He has till now been described as Radia’s business partner who kidnapped her 18-yearold son in 2003. Later on Thursday, Radia’s Vaishnavi Communication issued a denial saying that whatever Singh was saying was an attempt to influence the case against him.
