Qualcomm’s board meeting on July 19 for approving the company’s third quarter results is likely to be a closely-watched event. The date is interesting for several reasons.

According to sources who are close to the development, the board of the US-based telecom giant is also likely to discuss the future of CDMA technology in India and possibly Reliance Communications’ GSM plans. These unconfirmed reports were possibly prompted after Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs’ recent visit to India.
