Paytm offers free mobile recharges to help flood-hit Chennai residents

Many Paytm users are coming out to help others in their personal capacity by offering mobile recharges, according to the company statement.

NEW DELHI: Paytm, a mobile payment and commerce platform, said that it is providing the residents of flood-stricken Chennai with free instant recharge of Rs 30.

The idea is to enable people to stay in touch at this time of natural distress, the company said, adding that residents can call on 18001030033 and share the mobile number that they want to get topped-up.

"We will facilitate a Rs 30 recharge instantly and absolutely free of cost," the company said in a statement.
