Nokia to embark global restructuring exercise

The world's largest cellphone manufacturer by volume Nokia, has embarked on global restructuring exercise. The Finish handset manufacturer is aligning its operations globally. The move will translate into Nokia’s global operations being divided into four regions.

D Shivakumar, MD, Nokia India likely to be heading one of these regions. It is currently unclear, whether Shivakumar will continue to head the India operations. However sources close to the development indicate that in all likelihood, Nokia will appoint a new India head. Nokia India executives declined to comment, when contacted.
