Nokia signs MoU with SRM University

Nokia and Chennai based SRM University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to offer B.Tech degree programmes for Nokia's employees in its Sriperumbudur facility.

CHENNAI: Mobile phones manufacturer Nokia and Chennai based SRM University on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to offer B.Tech degree programmes for Nokia's employees in its Sriperumbudur facility.

A company press release said selected employees can opt for either B.Tech in Mechatronics or Mechanical. They would be selected based on eligibility criteria laid out by SRM University.

Called Nurturing Employees and Schooling Talent (NEST), the programme is a seven semester credit based on-site programme and would help diploma holders acquire a degree, the release said.
