Nokia Siemens signs $254 mn deal with China's MCC

Nokia Siemens Networks says it had won a $254 million network contract from China's Henan Mobile Communications Company.

PARIS: Nokia Siemens Networks, the Finnish-German telecom networks manufacturer, has said it had won a $254 million network contract from China's Henan Mobile Communications Company.

Under the deal, NSN will provide Henan MCC with its GSM and EDGE core and radio networks equipment, mobile soft switching system, as well as system integration, network planning, rollout and support services for Henan MCC's GSM and EDGE network, it said in a statement yesterday.

Henan MCC has 27 million subscribers in Henan province in east central China.

Nokia Siemens Networks is one of the world's leading providers of telecommunications infrastructure, with some 600 clients in 150 countries.
