BARCELONA: Telecom infrastructure solutions provider Nokia Siemens Networks on Monday said it has won a major contract from India's telecom firm Idea Cellular to deploy and integrate a device management solution in all its circles across the country.

The solution would enable Idea to improve service quality and enhance the end-user experience as the operator will be able to automatically send service settings to subscribers' mobile devices. The solution would be ready for commercial operation by the end of the third quarter of 2008.

The company, however, did not disclose the value of the contract. The contract would also include supply, installation, commissioning and project management.
